Do Vegans Exist in Fashion?

I’m all for not eating red meat but I refuse to wear anything fake or faux. I find it cheap and tasteless, in a fashion-digest sort of way. I need substance and reality, real fur, leather, suede and gem stones. I just can’t stomach fake, maybe others can but to me, fashion feels so much more authentic and ‘my own’ when I know where it has come from and that it was made naturally. It’s like making the choice between eating mystery meat and a grass raised lamb, who you knew was walking around just hours before.

Vintage champagne mink cape paired with suede booties from BCBG are just a few of the reasons I could never be a fashion vegan. All natural is the only way to go.
